Prosecutor Anna Elmlöv states that the 18-year-old is charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated weapons offenses and causing danger to another in Hallstahammar on September 19, 2024.
He admits most of the events, says Elmlöv, emphasizing that he neither admits nor denies the crime.
Another person has been charged with aggravated protection of a criminal.
Indicted in Denmark
The 18-year-old was identified in connection with the crimes against Israeli embassies and is currently the subject of a legal process in Denmark where he is charged with, among other things, terrorist crimes.
The young man, who was 16 years old when the crimes were committed, has admitted to throwing two hand grenades near the Israeli embassy just outside Copenhagen.
He denies any terrorist offenses, citing that he did not know that the Israeli embassy was the target of the bombing.
Recognized shot
He has also admitted to shooting at the Israeli embassy in Stockholm. Here, the 18-year-old is charged with aggravated weapons offenses.
When the trial in Denmark is concluded, the 18-year-old will be temporarily handed over to Sweden for prosecution, Elmlöv says.
The verdict in the Danish case is expected to be handed down in early February 2026.
