On July 31 last summer, the Swedish teenager made his way to Blågårds Square in Copenhagen after searching for several addresses. The man he was supposed to shoot was supposed to have a tattoo linked to the criminal gang Loyal to familia.
The man he didn't find, but he was approached by two other men and then fired a shot, without hitting anyone. Less than ten minutes later, he was arrested by the police.
The murder assignment had been found by the boy via the messaging service Telegram. There, it said that he would be part of creating history. If he carried out the assignment, he would receive an amount equivalent to almost 800,000 Swedish kronor.
In the 17-year-old's seized mobile phone, the police found a message indicating that he looked forward to the assignment: "I'm completely thrilled and have butterflies in my stomach," the boy wrote to the client.
A 31-year-old Danish woman was also charged with involvement since she had accommodated the Swedish teenager. She is not considered guilty of attempted murder, but is convicted of weapons possession.
