Lindh took European Championship bronze in Amsterdam 2016 and was later the same summer only half a second from reaching the Olympic Games final on 800 meters in Rio de Janeiro after finishing fourth in her semifinal heat.
A year later, she set a Swedish record on the distance with a time of 1.58,77 – a record Lindh still holds.
”There have been accolades and there have been criticisms. Training sessions that have exceeded expectations and sessions that have been broken. I feel satisfied now”, writes the 34-year-old.
This season, Lindh has primarily run 1,500 meters, but has broken off five out of eight races.
In recent years, Lindh has primarily been in focus for being denied to run championships. The runner was invited by the international athletics federation World Athletics to the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021, but did not get clearance from the Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK). The year after, Lindh cleared the qualification limit for the World Championship in the USA, but was denied by the team captain Kajsa Bergqvist.
