What a nightmare for Swedish national team defender Daniel Svensson. He was sent off and Dortmund lost 2-0 to Tottenham in the Champions League.

The happier expression was on the face of his national team colleague Lucas Bergvall after the match. Tottenham improved their position in the table and are currently in a direct spot for the round of 16.

Dortmund still has a theoretical chance of reaching the round of 16 directly and also a good chance of qualifying for the knockout stage.

The remaining matches in the seventh round will be played on Wednesday and then one round of the regular season remains.

Tottenham made it 1–0 in the 14th minute through Christian Romero. Just over ten minutes later, Swedish referee Glenn Nyberg gave Svensson a red card after a VAR review showed that the Swede had tackled with an outstretched leg.

Bergvall clapped for his national team colleague Svensson as he left the field.

Dominic Solanke later made it 2-0 for Tottenham.

Viktor Gyökeres was substituted on in the 84th minute and scored a goal as his Arsenal, already qualified for the round of 16, beat Inter 3–1.

Substitute Jordan Larsson missed a penalty but equalized a minute later as FC Copenhagen drew 1–1 with Napoli. FCK is currently in 24th place with little chance of reaching the round of 16.
