Marie Antman, The Left Party's secretary in the EU Parliament, claims that Alice Teodorescu Måwe on Wednesday physically assaulted one of V's officials in the parliament building.
This morning, my colleague came into my office in shock and showed me the marks they had received on their arm. Then it turned out that a Swedish parliamentarian simply physically attacked my colleague. It's extremely disturbing, she says to TT.
V has reported Teodorescu Måwe to the police for assault. Antman does not want to go into details about the violence, but calls the incident "exceptional" and "unacceptable".
It was a situation where my employee called for help, so the guards came and calmed down the situation. We have also reported the incident to the Speaker.
KD Rejects
The Christian Democrats write in an email to TT that it was instead Alice Teodorescu Måwe who was attacked by the official, who allegedly photographed and filmed the KD politician.
"When Alice asked the person to explain their actions, the person claimed that they intended to publish the images on social media to 'tell the world what a terrible person' Alice is", writes Natalie Tegelberg, KD's secretary in the parliament, in an email to TT.
According to Tegelberg, Teodorescu Måwe asked if it was okay to take a picture of the official, "who then became aggressive and tried to take the phone out of Alice's hand with violence".
"In the tumult, the official began shouting and made baseless accusations of assault against Alice".
The situation quickly calmed down when the guards arrived. Everything was caught on the parliament's surveillance cameras, according to Tegelberg.
Polisanmäler V-employee
Theodorescu Måwe will also report to the police. She has also reported the incident to the parliament's security department.
"The situation is being prioritized and the initial assessment confirms the parliamentarian's version of the incident", writes EU Parliament's spokesperson Delphine Colard in a comment to TT.
The Christian Democrats' party leader Ebba Busch says she is "disturbed" over the incident.
"I sat down with a shaken Alice. No one should have to fear for their safety", she writes on X.
