Three more trade unions are issuing warnings of strikes for members who work at the head office of Systembolaget. They are thus joining the strike that Unionen announced yesterday.

On Tuesday, the trade union Unionen announced that it is terminating the collective agreement with Svensk Handel and is warning of a strike for its members at Systembolaget.

The reason is that the union has negotiated with Svensk Handel during the spring on new collective agreements focusing on salary increases, shorter working hours, and regulations for part-time employees who work overtime, but has not reached any agreement.

Even the Akademikerförbundet has negotiated with Svensk Handel without succeeding in agreeing on a new collective agreement for its members. Their sub-unions Svenska Ingenjörer, Akavia, and Akademikerförbundet SSR are now warning all their members at the head office in Stockholm of a strike. A total of approximately 60 people are affected.

"Since Systembolaget within Svensk Handel is still unwilling to find constructive solutions, Sveriges Ingenjörer together with Akademikerförbundet has warned of a conflict. A strike is not a goal in itself, but is an important means of pressure that we sometimes need to take when negotiations have stalled", says Camilla Frankelius, chief negotiator at Sveriges Ingenjörer in a press release.

If no agreement is reached, the strike will come into effect on June 11 at 8 am. Unionen's strike is announced until June 10.
