Sweden arrived at the rehearsal for the World Championship, the Euro Hockey Tour tournament in the Czech Republic and Switzerland, after three consecutive losses to Finland (0–2, 0–5 and 0–3).
And initially in Kloten, it didn't look so good. The home team took the lead in the first period, goal by Tyler Moy, in powerplay.
But in the second, Tre Kronor played better and also scored two goals, both in powerplay, and both scored by NHL players – New York Rangers Mika Zibanejad and San Jose's William Eklund.
We get chances and don't mess it up. Nice that we scored goals in powerplay and turned this match around, said Zibanejad to SVT during the second period break.
The third period was goalless.
We're getting better and better, growing during the match, and that makes me happy, says the national team captain Sam Hallam.
We get a bit of payoff in powerplay and that's good.
Now the Swedish ice hockey national team is heading to the Czech city of Brno for matches against the host nation on Saturday and Finland on Sunday.
The World Championship squad will be announced on Monday and the World Championship starts on May 9 when Sweden meets Slovakia.
