Sweden is investigating what support can be given to Poland after the Russian drone attacks. We are ready to act promptly, says Minister of Defence Pål Jonson (The Moderate Party).

We have already made an inventory of what we could get out with short notice and with a little longer preparations, he continues.

Pål Jonson had several conversations with his Polish colleague during yesterday.

Partly they have identified a need to strengthen their air defense, where we have important experiences when we used our Gripen system down there.

But it can also be ground-based systems linked to electronic warfare or air defense, or it could be air-based systems. But the exact design we will get back to, says Jonson.

Now Nato's highest commander will coordinate the support so that it becomes effective and well-directed.

According to Nato sources, the drones seem to have had the military logistics hub Rzeszow as a target, which much of the world's aid to Ukraine passes through. Pål Jonson does not want to further comment on the information.

I can only establish that several of the drones were far into Polish territory and that it cannot have been any form of mistake.
