At an EU meeting in Luxembourg on Monday and Tuesday, he meets Spain's Ministers of Justice and the Interior to get tips and contacts ahead of a forthcoming trip in November.

At the EU meeting, he has simultaneously pushed for the EU's legal cooperation authority, Eurojust, to coordinate the building of contacts with police and prosecutors in countries outside the EU. This would save both efforts and time when it comes to, for example, getting hold of leaders of criminal networks.
–A member country like Sweden can be too small a player to itself build up such structures with each country where it may be relevant, says Strömmer.
