One last time, viewers are taken to the fictional town of Hawkins in the 1980s in the Duffer brothers' creation "Stranger things".
Netflix is now announcing that the season will be released in three parts, the first containing four episodes and premiering on November 26. The second part, which contains three episodes, will be released on Christmas Day, December 25. The final episode, titled "The rightside up", will premiere on New Year's Eve, December 31. In total, it's about eight episodes.
It has not been announced how long the episodes are, but previous seasons have had extra-long episodes - including the season four finale, which was over two hours long.
The fifth season takes place in the autumn of 1987. Hawkins is now deeply affected by the opened portals to the parallel dimension Upside down. The main characters unite in the hunt for the missing villain, while the town is put in military quarantine and the authorities intensify their search for Eleven.
Actors such as Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, and Finn Wolfhard return to their roles.
