It is the board of RTVE, Spanish state radio and TV, that has made the decision on the boycott in the event of an Israeli participation, reports AFP.
The message comes after the Irish and Dutch TV companies have stated in recent days that they will not send artists to next year's competition in Vienna if Israel is allowed to participate.
Spain is one of the most influential countries within the EBU, the European radio and TV union, and one of the "Big five" - the five participants that are always directly qualified for the final in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Israel's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest has been strongly questioned since the Hamas terror attack in the country on October 7, 2023, and the subsequent war in Gaza.
The highest responsible manager of the Eurovision Song Contest, the Briton Martin Green, has previously told TT that the organizer EBU has initiated a process in consultation with its member countries to come to a decision.
Next year's Eurovision Song Contest will be held on May 12-16 in Vienna, Austria. The countries have until mid-December this year to announce whether they will participate or not.
