The White House does not want to comment on the information for the newspaper, but refers to Trump's statement on Wednesday that Iran wants to see him dead.
"They want to destroy the leader of the United States - me. I'm on every list. I saw it this morning. And so far, I guess, I've been a little lucky, but it may not last that long," he told reporters during the NATO summit in Ankara.
Ever since the US killed top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani in an attack in Iraq during Trump's first term in 2020, Iran has promised revenge against the country, according to the WSJ.
The Israeli embassy in the United States has declined to comment on the newspaper's information about the assassination plans against Trump.
Shortly after the information was published by the WSJ, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office stated that he had spoken to Trump by phone.
"President Trump updated the Prime Minister on US action plans in the Persian Gulf," the office writes in a post on X.
