The Biathlon World Championship is underway in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
At the same time, Olympic gold medalist Mona Brorsson is sitting in a TV studio in Stockholm.
It has really felt completely right from the start, and then it has almost only been more confirmed the longer time has passed here, she says about her TV expert job.
But I miss being on site and would have liked to travel with to feel the atmosphere.
"Sharp situation"
The 34-year-old was prepared for life after biathlon to be different, where the adrenaline kicks from competitions would be missing.
But I've gotten into a gang where everyone is extremely performance-oriented. And I wouldn't have believed it would be this good. When the broadcast light goes on, it's a sharp situation and you have to perform.
But how has it been to give criticism – positive as well as negative – to biathletes who have been her teammates and competitors?
I think it's actually gone very well. Because it was something that SVT was worried about. But the attitude is that I should always be able to say what I say even if they had sat next to me. And then it becomes much easier.
Öberg followed from the TV
Former teammate Hanna Öberg has followed Brorsson's work in SVT's program "Winter Studio", among other things when she missed some World Cup competitions before Christmas.
I sat there on the couch and thought she's doing a very good job. She can give perspective on things and tell how small the margins are. And that she knows us and knows what job we do in our team, says Hanna Öberg.
She continues:
She sees news value in things, and finds a good balance in not revealing too many secrets.
Moved to Stockholm
After living in Östersund for almost 15 years, Mona Brorsson recently moved to Stockholm. A move that she describes with roots that have been torn up and turned upside down.
But it has gone better than I might have thought. It has been a big adjustment, especially in the social. That you need to get a new social circle in everyday life.
But it's nice not to have to adjust to training anymore, and I can say yes to almost everything and not have to feel guilty or worry about missing something important. Or exposing myself to the risk of getting sick or injured.
