The 55-year-old climbed the mountain together with a group of military personnel and reached the top at 04 on Tuesday morning, local time – 31 years after his first climb up Mount Everest.
The first time he climbed Everest was in 1994 and before each expedition, he worships the mountain and apologizes for having to place his feet on its body.
This year's season for Everest climbs is coming to an end. So far, over 500 people have managed to make it all the way up during the season.
Last week, Briton Kenton Cool climbed Mount Everest for the 19th time. He thus holds the record for the most visits at 8,848 meters above sea level for all those who are not indigenous Sherpas, writes BBC.
