Hammarby is the sole league leader in Swedish women's football. Just like Häcken, they had won all their matches before Wednesday, and away at Eskilstuna they earned another three points after Emilie Joramo scored the match-winning 1-0 with fifteen minutes left to play.
For Häcken, the winning streak ended away at a strong AIK.
17-year-old nets
The Solna team followed up a 2-2 draw at home against Malmö FF with an even bigger scalp. They beat Häcken for the first time in the Swedish women's league.
We have made strides since last year. I think we have started the season incredibly strongly and shown that we can compete with the top teams. AIK is a club and a team that should be at the top, says midfielder Ida Björnberg to Viaplay.
However, victory slipped from their hands.
AIK took the lead in the 59th minute when Nova Selin broke free on the right in the penalty area. The shot took a deflection off a Häcken player and looped over goalkeeper Fanney Birkisdóttir. On the goal line, 17-year-old Ellie Junetoft scored her first Allsvenskan goal.
The stars on the bench
Häcken again started with two of their biggest stars, slightly injured Felicia Schröder and Anna Anvegård, on the bench. Both were brought on in the second half, and it looked like it might be enough to take points.
In stoppage time, the duo fed Tabitha Tindell, who was tackled - and the referee pointed to the penalty spot.
Felicia Schröder calmly rolled in the penalty to make it 1-1.
But AIK had one more response. The home team cleared a final corner and then veteran defender Linda Sembrant stepped into the action. The 39-year-old rose highest and headed in the winning goal in the 97th minute.
"We believe in it all the time. I think we have grown as a team and as individuals compared to last fall. Today we go out and are ready to compete with Häcken, just like we were ready to compete with Malmö a few days ago," says Sembrant.
When we are at our highest level, we can threaten anyone.
On the other hand, Anna Anvegård, for obvious reasons, was not as happy with how it ended.
"It's poor defending from us. We get a good push and make it 1-1, completely fair. Then we're not fully connected on the last corner and they get a random goal. But we're too poor," says Anvegård.
Corrected: A previous version was wrong about AIK's match against Malmö FF; the correct detail is that it was played at home.
