USA's Ryder Cup captain wants to change the rules after Europe got half a point when Viktor Hovland could not play. It must be obvious to everyone in the sports world, says Keegan Bradley.

The Norwegian Viktor Hovland is struggling with a neck injury that forced him to withdraw from Sunday's final singles match in the prestigious golf tournament. This meant that the match against Harris English was counted as a draw and Europe and the USA each received half a point.

The USA's captain Keegan Bradley believes that the rule should be changed.

It must be changed for the next Ryder Cup. I have some ideas that I do not intend to tell about right now, he says.

Europe's captain Luke Donald defends the rule.

It has existed since 1971. The USA has used it before, in 1993 when Sam Torrance could not play due to a toe injury. The USA won the tournament, says Donald.

We have rules for a reason, for situations that can arise.

Europe won the tournament at Bethpage outside New York with 15–13.
