The strong momentum for a potential peace agreement in Ukraine that was formed at the summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump has decreased significantly. This is stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry, reports the regime-loyal Russian news agency Interfax.
Unfortunately, we must admit that the strong momentum generated by Anchorage in favor of an agreement has been largely consumed, says Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov.
He adds that the reason is "destructive activity, mainly by Europeans".
The two presidents met in August at a military base in Anchorage in Alaska and discussed Russia's war in Ukraine there.
