Most of the names were announced before Thursday's press conference, where national team captain Ståle Solbakken presented the final players who will be allowed to join the squad for this summer's World Cup in North America.
Of those selected for Norway's 26-man squad, 24-year-old Rangers midfielder Thelonious Aasgaard stood out.
"A young, promising player who can score goals and is good in both penalty areas," said Solbakken.
Before the presentation, a video was played, in which King Harald gave a speech to inspire the Norwegian people.
"Now that we are sending our best players out into the world, we stand united and wish them good luck on their journey," said the King.
Norway's men are making their first World Cup appearance since 1998. In the group stage, they face Iraq, Senegal and France.
