Earlier in October, the exhibition tournament "Six Kings Slam" was held in Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh. Italian Jannik Sinner lifted another trophy after turning the tables and winning against Carlos Alcaraz in the final, 2–1 in sets.

However, his participation has received strong criticism.

I don't play for the money. It's very simple. Of course, it's a great prize. But I participated because six of the best players in the world participated and it was a chance to measure myself against them. It was also a nice event, he says to Eurosport.

In the tournament, apart from Sinner and Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Holger Rune, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal also participated. In addition to the over 60 million kronor to the winner, all participants were guaranteed at least 15 million kronor, according to NTB.

Several human rights organizations have directed sharp criticism against how Saudi Arabia pumps money into the sports world, so-called sports washing.

Money is not the most important thing, it's just a bonus. It's not as important as health and family, says Sinner.
