After the 2022 Danish parliamentary elections, it took 42 days before Frederiksen could present a new center-right government.

This year's election outcome has been described as historically fragmented, with twelve parties and no clear coalitions.

Since the election, which was held on March 24, there have been intensive negotiations between the Social Democrats and the Moderates, led by Lars Løkke Rasmussen.

According to the Ritzau news agency, it currently looks like there will be a government consisting of the Social Democrats, the Socialist People's Party, the Moderates and the Radicals, with support from the left-wing parties the Unity List and Alternative.

But so far, Frederiksen has not officially presented any proposal for a new government.
