There are "bright spots" in the housing market, according to a house price indicator from Danske Bank for October. At least that's true if you're planning to sell your home.

Housing prices rose 0.6 percent in October compared to the previous month, adjusted for seasonal effects, according to Danske Bank. And at an annual rate, the price increase is 3.3 percent.

Apartments in the 80–100 square meter range increased the most in price during the month, up 2.3 percent compared to September.

The number of housing transactions is at a seasonally normal level, although it is slightly lower than during the corresponding period last year.

"The recovery in the housing market continued in October and there are good conditions for housing prices to continue to increase in the future. Households have come further in their adaptation to a higher interest rate environment and the expansionary policy is expected to provide further support to households towards the end of the year," writes Susanne Spector, Chief Economist at Danske Bank, in a comment.

The Riksbank is expected to leave the policy rate unchanged at 1.75 percent at the November meeting, while Danske Bank sees "positive trends" in reports from the National Institute of Economic Research (NIER) and Statistics Sweden's GDP indicator.

"The Swedish economy looks to be doing better," writes Danske Bank.
