In a press release, the police write that more and more parents have begun to contact the police when they are concerned that their children will commit acts of violence on behalf of criminals, and that this has contributed to preventive work.
"The tips make a difference and we can act quickly when we receive information," says Mats Karlsson, operationally responsible manager of Police Region South's regional operations center, RDC.
According to the police, there is a perception that it is primarily children and young people from Sis and HVB homes who commit serious acts of violence, but according to the authority, many young perpetrators live at home.
Karlsson urges parents to pay attention to changes in behavior, who the child hangs out with and what contacts they have digitally.
