In connection with the tribute concert in the autumn of 2023 – when LeMarc turned 65 – the interest was so great that the concert was moved from Cirkus in Stockholm to Tele 2 Arena (today's 3 Arena). The audience became more than ten times larger and also included Peter LeMarc, who in March 2023 had announced that he had suffered a stroke.

Now his music is being interpreted on the theatre stage instead.

"People seek comfort and hope in his works. It's about time the theatre creates stage art from his contributions to culture", says opera and theatre director Ole Anders Tandberg in a press release.

He has created the new production together with theatre music composer Leif Jordansson, who also produced and arranged Peter LeMarc's latest album, "The Thin Thread" from 2016.

The actors – Björn Bengtsson, Lina Englund, Frida Hallgren, Gerhard Hoberstorfer, Sara Jangfeldt, and Rennie Mirro – will weave together the song lyrics with personal stories. The music will be performed by a live band.

LeMarc broke through in 1987 and is best known for songs like "Hold Me!" and "Little Willie John", but gradually withdrew from concert stages already in the 1990s. In 2014, he gave a farewell concert.
