Matias Faldbakken's artwork recreates the steel structure that was used to move a large Picasso painting from the destroyed house to its new location in the government quarters after Anders Behring Breivik's attack.

In Faldbakken's version, the frame is instead filled with a mosaic of stones from Utøya and Tyrifjorden. The names of the 77 murdered victims will be engraved in the artwork. "Upholding" is scheduled to be completed in 2026.

During the terrorist attack on July 22, 2011, eight people were killed in a bombing in the government quarters in Oslo. The perpetrator Anders Behring Breivik murdered another 69 people on the island of Utøya, where the Labour Party's youth league AUF had a summer camp. Breivik was sentenced to 21 years in prison and detention.
