The company announced this in a press release.
According to the company, Sweden is one of the company's fastest-growing markets in Europe with an increasing number of users.
One reason behind the decision is an attractive startup environment with many successful companies.
“Sweden has one of Europe’s most advanced tech ecosystems and sharp engineering talent,” says Emmanuel Marill, OpenAI's CEO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, in the press release.
Minister of Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa (M) expresses great delight at the decision.
“OpenAI opening an office in Stockholm is proof of Sweden’s position as one of the world’s leading technology nations,” he says.
