"Incredibly sad," Johan Ekberg tells Viaplay.

Klæbo had already secured the overall World Cup and Sprint Cup, but the Distance Cup remained. He even skipped Saturday's sprint to save himself for Sunday's mass start.

And it paid off. Klæbo won, securing the Distance Cup and becoming the first ever to win all three cups.

Harald Østberg Amundsen came second and Einar Hedegart third. Fourth and fifth places were also taken by Norwegians - Mattis Stenshagen and Andreas Fjorden Ree.

The best Swede was Eric Rosjö in 27th place, followed by Johan Ekberg in 29th place.

"Unfortunately, we are running out of stuff (material). You can feel it, it's a war all the time," Ekberg says.
