On Tuesday evening, two men were found shot to death in a car in Lunden in Gothenburg. During the night, a suspected Norwegian citizen was then arrested in Oslo.
Already at the border, it was about to be stopped, which Norwegian TV2 had previously reported.
Now the Norwegian customs confirm that they tried to stop the man, who was traveling in a Mercedes, after the border crossing at Svinesund. But according to the customs, the car drove away at over 200 kilometers per hour.
Personnel from the Customs Agency followed after to see where he was driving, but he had a very high speed and disappeared on E6, says Vårin K Antonsen, section chief at the agency, to VG.
Later the same evening, the man was discovered by a police patrol in central Oslo and was arrested after a dramatic car chase.
He was detained on Thursday afternoon, among other things, for having threatened the police with a pistol in connection with the arrest.
When the man, who is in his 30s, can be extradited to Sweden is unclear.
Since he does not consent to being extradited to Sweden, it may take a little longer than usual. From a few days to a few weeks, says Ole Kristian Holtsmark, prosecutor at the Norwegian police, to VG.
