Colorado's Nathan MacKinnon was awarded twice at the NHL's award gala. The Canadian hockey star won both the Hart Trophy and the Ted Lindsay Award – the most prestigious awards.
The Ted Lindsay Award is the prize where NHL players themselves select the colleague they think is best. The Hart Trophy goes to the league's most valuable player.
The 28-year-old MacKinnon was second in the NHL's scoring league with 140 points, divided into 51 goals and 89 assists during the season.
Besides MacKinnon, the super talent Connor Bedard from Chicago received the prize as best rookie, Quinn Hughes from Vancouver won the prize as best defender, and Winnipeg's Connor Hellebuyck was awarded as best goalkeeper.
No Swedes received an award during this year's gala, but Filip Forsberg was selected to the NHL's second-best all-star team.
