Gustaf Berglund came 29th in Sunday's 10 km freestyle during the World Cup competitions in Trondheim.
With the modest result, he was the best Swede during a heavy Swedish day on the men's side.
"It's not where any of us want to be. It's hard. I just want to put this behind me," Berglund tells Viaplay.
William Poromaa came 35th, Johan Ekberg 38th, Eric Rosjö 41st, Edvin Anger 54th and Rikard Vestin in 80th place.
It was tough. Tough of course. But it didn't come as a shock right away, says Poromaa.
At the top, Norwegian dominance continued. Einar Hedegart took home his first World Cup victory just four tenths ahead of compatriot Andreas Fjorden Ree, who took his first World Cup podium. Star Johannes Høsflot Klæbo came seventh.
