New Saltkråkan Series and Colleen Hoover Film Highlight This Week's Releases

The aforementioned new version of "Vi på Saltkråkan" premieres and in the cinema comes the next Colleen Hoover success "Ångrar dig". Here are this week's movies and series.

"We on Saltkråkan" (31/10, SVT).

So it's here, the re-shot and carefully updated Astrid Lindgren classic. The author (uncle) Melker (Henrik Norlén) is a bit clumsy in the archipelago environment and on the island of Saltkråkan, his children get to experience adventures with Tjorven (Vega Åhman) and her dog Båtsman.

"New Noa Nyman" (31/10, SVT Play).

Drama comedy series about the bitter driving school teacher Noa Nyman (Johan Ulveson) who, after hitting a student and being fired, gets the chance to travel 40 years back in time to his younger self (Hampus Nessvold) and set his life straight.

"All's fair" (4/11, Disney+).

Kim Kardashian makes her biggest role as an actress in soap maker Ryan Murphy's new series. The reality star plays a lawyer who specializes in pressing unfaithful men for as much money as possible for her clients.

"The living" (5/11, SVT).

French drama series for the ten-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks in Paris. Seven survivors from the hostage drama at the Bataclan concert hall try to help each other move on with their lives.

FILM (premiere at the cinema 31/10, if not otherwise stated).

"Regret" (29/10).

Next bestseller by star author Colleen Hoover to be made into a film. Morgan (Alison Williams) and daughter Clara's (McKenna Grace) already strained relationship is put to the test when an unexpected secret is revealed after a devastating accident.

"The home" (29/10)

Author Mats Strandberg is a master of horror-filled stories in already unpleasant places. In the film version of "The home", the others at a nursing home realize that the newly moved-in Monika (Anki Lidén) is haunted by something frightening, but familiar.

"Bugonia".

In the fourth film Emma Stone makes with director Yorgos Lanthimos, she plays a pharmaceutical CEO who is kidnapped by two conspiracy theorists determined to prove that she is an alien.

"Alexandra - if we are not seen, we do not exist".

Documentary about nightclub queen Alexandra Charles, who would rather be remembered for her work for the health of older women.

"Ballad of a small player" (29/10, Netflix).

Colin Farrell portrays a gambling addict who is stuck in Macao - in more than one way. Edward Berger, most recently behind the camera in "The Conclave", directs.

"Hedda" (29/10, Prime Video).

Director Nia DaCosta's reinterpretation of Ibsen's drama "Hedda Gabler" comes directly to the streaming service here in Sweden. Tessa Thompson plays the title role.
