The starting eleven:
Viktor Johansson – Carl Starfelt, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Ken Sema – Yasin Ayari, Jesper Karlström, Anton Salétros, Sebastian Nanasi – Dejan Kulusevski – Alexander Isak, Viktor Gyökeres.
Sema takes a step down in the team, from left midfielder to left back in the three-man defense.
Carl Starfelt replaced Victor Nilsson Lindelöf already after just over half an hour against Slovakia. He remains as right back while Gabriel Gudmundsson takes the central position.
"We have speed behind the midfield, both Calle, Gabriel, and Ken are fast. Ken has the opportunity to follow up front when we play on the opponent's half of the pitch," says Jon Dahl Tomasson.
Two new players on midfield
Jesper Karlström and Sebastian Nanasi come on midfield.
Nanasi got the chance from the the start against Estonia in Tallinn and thanked by scoring two goals in the national team's 3–0 win.
"Sebastian deserves a chance. He did really well against Estonia in October and will play on the left as a winger with the opportunity to influence the game. He is very good at finding opportunities in combination play and making runs that affect the opponent. It feels important to also give Jesper Karlström minutes on central midfield," says Jon Dahl Tomasson.
Yasin Ayari's role on the wing becomes a bit different than usual.
The offensive trio Dejan Kulusevski, Alexander Isak, and Viktor Gyökeres start anew.
"Will go wide"
"When we have the ball on the opponent's half of the pitch, he will go wide and find combination play with Dejan, which they are very good at finding each other. On our own half of the pitch, he will be more like a midfielder and act according to our principles," says Tomasson.
Gyökeres stands on five goals scored in as many matches in the group stage of the Nations League. Sweden secured the group win on Saturday, with a 2–1 win over Slovakia.
