The war of words between Trump and Minnesota's leading politicians is intensifying after Saturday's fatal shooting of a 37-year-old nurse.
"Minnesota has had enough. This is disgusting," Governor Tim Walz wrote shortly after the shooting.
At a press conference he said, "Enough is enough now."
"I don't know how many times we'll have to witness this madness," he said, calling for further protests.

“End the operation”
Mayor Jacob Frey also wants to see the immigration enforcement agency ICE removed from the state and addressed Donald Trump at a press conference.
This is your moment to act as a leader. Put America first. Put Minneapolis first. End this operation and I promise calm will return.
Trump responded on Truth Social by publishing a picture said to show the dead man's gun.
"The mayor and governor are inciting rebellion with pompous, dangerous and arrogant rhetoric!" he wrote, claiming that the city would only be safe when ICE has done its job and that crime in the city would have been much worse if ICE had not acted and arrested thousands of "criminal aliens".
Contacted Washington
Kristi Noem, Secretary of Homeland Security, said at a press conference that Frey and Walz are encouraging violence and are using it to divert attention from their own crimes.
Frey and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison say they will file a petition in court on Monday asking a judge to temporarily bar ICE from operating within the city limits.
Tim Walz has contacted the White House and announced that the state will investigate the shooting, rather than leaving it at the federal level as was done in the shooting of mother of three, Renee Nicole Good - an investigation state prosecutors were excluded from.
"Federal authorities cannot be trusted to properly investigate this shooting," Walz said.
However, Noem said that her department will lead the investigation.
