Marita Bildt, sister of Kristersson's wife Birgitta Ed, has been on the board of the Teach for Sweden foundation since 2021. Since her appointment, the government's funding to the foundation has more than doubled, according to Aftonbladet.
At a government meeting on April 9 regarding the spring amendment budget, which Kristersson attended, it was decided that the foundation would receive twelve million kronor, in addition to the 15 million already granted for the year.
Ida Karkiainen (S), former chair of the Constitutional Committee, writes in a comment to TT that Kristersson should have left the room.
"It is astonishing that Ulf Kristersson participated in this decision."
