"One can write a dissertation (or several) about the happy or unhappy relationship between poetry and music – it has, by the way, already been done. But let's say that we, in my opinion, have just written a happy chapter", says Houellebecq in a press release.
He calls the project, which is made together with the French musician and composer Frédéric Lo, "Remember the man". The latter has, among other things, previously collaborated with Pete Doherty from Libertines and Babyshambles.
Houellebecq, known for novels such as "Elementary Particles", "Serotonin" and "Annihilation", joins a lineup of authors where Sally Rooney, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Tanya Tagaq are included. The French author will appear on August 21, on the festival's first day.
