IFK Norrköping continues to struggle in the top league.
After 1–3 against Djurgården, head coach Andreas Alm directed strong criticism towards the referee.
The referee does his best, which wasn't good enough, and that's it, says Alm in the Max broadcast.
Only eleven recorded points, and against Djurgården (1–3) it became a new zero in the points column.
After the match, Norrköping's head coach Andreas Alm directed strong criticism towards main referee Joakim Östling.
He who scores the goal on the free kick (Besard Sabovic), he's the one who should be sent off because he hits Daniel (Eid) in a situation where he already has a yellow card, says Andreas Alm about the 3–1 goal.
Debated penalty situation
Early in the match, at 0–0, the home team wanted a penalty when Christoffer "Totte" Nyman was knocked down after a situation with Djurgården's Jacob Une Larsson. A situation that according to Alm was crystal clear.
It's clear that it means a lot. "Totte" gets knocked down and it means a lot to get 1–0 instead of ending up in another situation. That's how it is, the referee does his best which wasn't good enough and that's it, he said and continued:
It's impossible to miss. I don't understand at all. But it's clear, to run there as a referee and judge against the Djurgården crowd, it might be tough.
"Just take the whistle and blow"
Alm then continued his criticism, explaining that referee Östling "wasn't really in the match from the start".
Joakim, I think he waits in the match. It's just take the whistle and blow. "Totte" gets kicked by Une Larsson, give a yellow then and show that you're the one in charge. But he waits and waits and waits, and then starts judging after 25 minutes.
After 13 played matches, IFK Norrköping remains below the line in the relegation zone in the top league.
