The quarterfinal between Sagström and Celine Boutier was interrupted on Saturday due to darkness, and was postponed until Sunday morning after the Frenchwoman's round of 16 took the entire 28 holes before a winner could be crowned earlier in the day.
But it didn't stop Madelene Sagström from continuing her winning streak.
After a playoff hole, it was clear that she was through to the semifinal, against tough opposition in the form of American Angel Yin.
But not even she could beat the red-hot Swede. Sagström led the match from the second hole to the 16th hole, when the 32-year-old secured her victory and her place in the final.
I was definitely already underway when we started the semifinal, I think it helped a lot. I had already warmed up, and it was cold this morning, but now it was just nice to get out again, she says in Viaplay's broadcast about the semifinal.
In the final, which starts at midnight Swedish time, she will face American Lauren Coughlin, ranked 17th in the world.
