Luleå leads the final series with 2–1 in matches and is halfway to the club's second Swedish Championship gold in history.
The 27-year-old French-Canadian defenseman had, before the third final, made himself known for all his goal-scoring passes.
He boasted 13 assists in as many matches in the playoffs, but the goal column was empty.
He would change that this evening in a singing and rocking Coop Norrbotten Arena, or Delfinen as it is called in colloquial language.
The Hat-trick
When Allard struck for the third time, hats rained down on the ice.
It's probably the first time I've ever scored a hat-trick. So, it's pretty good timing, he says to TV4.
Brynäs came to Luleå with 1–1 in matches from their two home matches, but were dissatisfied with their starts to the matches.
That was rectified in Luleå.
Defender Axel Andersson gave the team the lead after 7.51, before Allard equalized after just over ten minutes.
In the middle period, Luleå took control of the third final, a period that took the team to a 4–1 lead.
Two goals came in power play, including one in five-on-three, both by Allard.
Then Allard struck with his two goals in numerical superiority.
First in five-on-four, then in five-on-three. Both times set up by defensive colleague Erik Gustafsson.
"Stupid penalties"
It's not good enough boxplay from our side, then we take some stupid penalties, says Brynäs forward Linus Ölund to TV4.
Last time Luleå wobbled in Gävle, when 4–0 became 4–2 (finally 5–2) in the third period.
This time, goal- and point king Pontus Andreasson made sure it wasn't repeated. He set 5–1 in the beginning of the third period, his eleventh goal so far in the playoffs.
The third final match became more physical than the two previous ones.
We've learned to hate each other, I don't like any of them, I try to tackle them every time, says hat-trick shooter Allard.
Now, two rest days await before the fourth final, also in Luleå, on Saturday.
