Several international artists, including Lorde and Paloma Faith, are now joining the campaign "No music for genocide", which urges musicians to geoblock their music in Israel as long as the war in Gaza continues.

The record company Hyperdub has also withdrawn its entire catalog from the streaming services, writes Pitchfork.

Over a thousand artists have now joined in protest against what the organizers call "Israel's genocide in Gaza, ethnic cleansing in the occupied West Bank and apartheid within Israel". Previously, among others Massive Attack and Björk have announced that they want to block their music from being played in Israel.

Massive Attack also supports a separate campaign and wants to remove all their music from Spotify, aimed at founder Daniel Ek's investments in a European defense technology company.
