When 24-year-old Lindblad reached her final hole on the second round, she had just made two straight birdies and only needed to finish with a par to clear the qualifying limit.

But it ended with a frustrating bogey – and with a total of +1, Lindblad will not be able to continue playing.

Lindblad turned pro last summer after a successful amateur career and, through continued success on the Epson Tour – where she won a tournament, among other things – qualified for the LPGA tour.

Ko Jin-Young, South Korea, has played the best so far this week. With a total of –12, she leads by two strokes.

Among the Swedish players, Linnea Ström (18th place on –4) and Frida Kinhult (50th place on par) will be able to continue playing for two more rounds.

Besides Ingrid Lindblad, Madelene Sagström, Maja Stark, and Dani Holmqvist also missed the qualifying limit.
