This means that Latvia's government is collapsing, reports the Latvian public service broadcaster LSM.
Siliņa's coalition government has been close to collapse since Sunday when Siliņa called on Defence Minister Andris Sprūds to resign.
The background is that two Ukrainian drones that crossed the Russian border and crashed on Latvian territory on May 7. Siliņa blamed Sprūds and said that Latvia's anti-drone system was not deployed quickly enough to deal with the intrusion.
Ukraine accused Russia of steering the drones away from their targets using electronic warfare.
According to Reuters, the Latvian president will meet with representatives of all parties in parliament on Friday.
