A 37-year-old man is sentenced to life imprisonment after killing his wife with a sword at the beginning of August, reports Aftonbladet.

The incident occurred in the home in Arvika in front of the couple's two children who alerted the police. However, the woman's life could not be saved – she died within a few minutes.

After undergoing a forensic psychiatric examination, the man is deemed not to be suffering from a serious mental disorder.

Therefore, he is sentenced to prison for murder and gross child neglect. After serving his prison sentence, he will be deported.
