Eight "priceless" jewel-encrusted objects disappeared in the brazen heist against the Louvre in Paris. This is what we know about them.

Thieves dropped and left behind the crown that Napoleon III's wife Eugénie wore, a magnificent object covered with 1,340 diamonds and 56 emeralds. It was found just outside the museum's walls and is said to be damaged.

Two more objects are said to have been found on the spot, but eight objects are still missing, according to BBC.

Among them are a tiara, an earring and a necklace that once belonged to Maria Amalia, the last queen of France. The latter is decorated with 8 sapphires and 631 diamonds, according to Le Monde.

French authorities confirmed on Sunday which other objects had been stolen.

This includes a diadem that belonged to Empress Eugénie, decorated with nearly 2,000 diamonds, as well as a brooch. The thieves also took an emerald and diamond necklace with matching emerald earrings that Napoleon Bonaparte gave to his wife, Empress Marie Louise. In addition, a brooch that served as a relic holder was stolen.
