Six people in Milan and another 16 in Japan have been working on the task since mid-January. According to Japanese media, around 2,000 posts with inappropriate material have been tracked so far, and the Japanese Olympic Committee has requested that around 380 posts be removed. So far, about a dozen have been removed.
Ahead of the Olympics, it has been announced that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will also use an AI service to clean up the accounts of Olympic athletes. One who has previously been affected is cross-country skier Moa Ilar, who talked about her experiences in an interview with TT:
