Gaza's Hamas-controlled health department reported on Saturday afternoon that at least 90 people have been killed in the Palestinian area over the past two days. Among them are at least 11 people who were killed in a tent in the coastal area of Muwasi, which Israel has designated as a humanitarian area.
Israel broke the ceasefire with Hamas on March 18 due to disagreement over the next phase of the then prevailing ceasefire. At least 1,783 people have been killed in Gaza since then, according to the health department.
In total, at least 51,157 people have been killed in Gaza since the war broke out as a result of Hamas' terrorist attack on October 7, 2023. In that attack, 1,281 people were killed, most of them civilians.
