The country's health ministry said on Sunday that the death toll from last week's attacks had risen to 394 people. According to the ministry, 83 of them were children.
At a press conference, Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine said that nine of those killed were emergency workers, and he condemned attacks targeting ambulances and rescue operations.
Lebanon's Social Affairs Minister Haneen Sayed said Sunday night that more than half a million residents have been displaced. The total number who have reported being forced to leave their homes is 517,000.
Of these, 117,228 are in camps or places provided by the Lebanese government.
Russian evacuation
The Israeli military announced on social media that it had carried out attacks on over 600 targets in Lebanon, and that around 190 people belonging to the "terrorist organization Hezbollah" had been killed during the week, several of whom were said to have held high positions within Hezbollah's military branch.
Israel said on Sunday afternoon that two soldiers were killed "in an ambush" while trying to retrieve a vehicle that was stuck in southern Lebanon.
More than 100 Iranians, many of whom are said to have been diplomats or local employees at the Iranian embassy, have been evacuated from Lebanon on a Russian plane, an anonymous Lebanese government source said, adding that the Russian plane left the country overnight on Sunday.
Quds Command target
Lebanon's government announced on Thursday that it is banning all activities linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard - which in practice acts as direct support for the Islamist Hezbollah movement.
In the past week, Israel has attacked targets allegedly linked to the Iran-backed Hezbollah movement. The Israeli military also says it "recently" carried out an attack on Beirut, targeting commanders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s elite Quds Force.
Lebanon was drawn into the war on Monday night, when Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel, which quickly responded with airstrikes.
