It's about, among other things, weapon depots and rocket launch ramps.
In November last year, the parties agreed on a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. Both sides have accused each other of violating the agreement.
"The weapons and rocket ramps in the military installations posed a threat to the state of Israel and a clear violation of the agreements between Israel and Lebanon", says Israel's military in a statement.
Lebanon's state news agency NNA reports that a number of targets have been hit by Israel in several areas in southern Lebanon.
As part of the ceasefire, Hezbollah was to withdraw northwards, north of the Litani River and further away from Israel, while Israel was to leave Lebanon's southern parts. The latest deadline for Israel expired on February 18 and the country still has forces at what Israel describes as five "strategic locations".
