Newcastle attacker Alexander Isak has often started on the wing in the national team, but was absent against Denmark, playing ahead of Niclas Eliasson, Dejan Kulusevski, and Anthony Elanga.

Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski was disappointed by the loss, but believes Sweden took a step forward in the third training match under new national coach Jon Dahl Tomasson.
Denmark, however, started with a shock. Already after 77 seconds, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg sent in the leading goal at the first post on a corner. Denmark threatened on several corners during the first half.
Manchester United defender was substituted after the first half.
Even the second counter goal came in conjunction with a fixed situation. Denmark laid a short corner a bit into the offensive half and Christian Eriksen – teammate at United with Lindelöf Nilsson – got a lot of space to advance forward before he curled in the winning goal from a distance.
