On Wednesday, Araghchi is in Jordan, reports news agency Efe. He will then travel to Egypt and Turkey.
On Tuesday evening, the Foreign Minister also had a phone call with UN Secretary-General António Guterres. Araghchi is said to have appealed to the UN to use its resources to "stop the Israeli regime's crimes and aggressions" and send humanitarian aid to Lebanon and Gaza.
Iran, which is doing everything we can to protect peace and security in the region, is fully prepared for a decisive and regrettable response to whatever (Israel) takes, claimed Araghchi in the conversation according to his office.
Since Iran fired around 200 rockets at Israel on October 1 - in what is described as revenge for, among others, the death of Hamas leader Ismail Haniya and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah - the world has been waiting for Israel's response. Last week, Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant claimed that the country's retaliation against Iran would be "deadly, precise, and surprising".
Abbas Araghchi has visited Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and Iraq in recent weeks.
