Introduction jobs are a measure aimed at newly arrived and those who have been unemployed for a long time. Employers receive 80 percent of the salary cost up to 20,000 kronor per month paid by the state.
A follow-up study from Ifau (Institute for Evaluation of Labour Market and Education Policy) shows that participants in the measure had 2,000 kronor more in monthly income, six percentage points more were employed and seven percentage points fewer were in need of economic assistance compared to a control group.
"It is a positive result against the background that those who get an introduction job often find themselves in a difficult situation", says Linus Liljeberg, one of the report authors, in a press release.
