India has with its naked aggression attacked with robots. Nur Khan base, Murid base and Shorkot base have been targets, said Pakistan's military spokesperson Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry on Saturday night.

Most of the robots are said to have been shot down, he stated.

Nur Khan base in Rawalpindi, where Pakistan's military also has its headquarters, is located about a mile from Islamabad.

Shortly afterwards, Pakistan announced that it had responded with its own robot attacks on India.

An Indian weapons depot for robots as well as Indian airbases in Pathankot and Udhampur have been identified as targets by Pakistan's military, which claims to have been attacked with ballistic robots.

"Appropriate response"

India claims that the country has attacked Pakistani military bases after Pakistan shot several robots towards Indian airbases in the state of Punjab. According to Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, Pakistan has also targeted health care facilities and schools at airbases in the Indian-controlled part of Kashmir.

An appropriate response has been given to Pakistani actions, she says at a press conference in New Delhi.

Powerful explosions have been heard during the night at several places, including Srinagar, Jammu and Udhampur, reports AP with reference to eyewitnesses.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar says that the country was forced to respond to Indian attacks.

There was no other alternative since India did not show any sincerity regarding diplomatic efforts made by friendly countries, says Dar to Pakistani TV channel Geo News.

Fourth day of violence

It is the fourth day of escalated military violence between the two nuclear nations.

Tensions have increased sharply after a massacre of tourists on April 22 in the Indian-controlled part of the long-disputed Kashmir region.

India accuses Pakistan of having given its support to the perpetrators, which is denied by the country.

The night before Wednesday, India carried out an air strike against what the country describes as terrorist target, in response to the massacre. The two nuclear nations have exchanged several deadly attacks since then.

The latest reports from both parties are difficult to verify, like many others during the war.
